Security Deposits & Apartment Reservations
Reserving Your Apartment
Once your rental application is approved, we’ll guide you through the remaining steps to reserve your new home. This typically includes paying your required security deposit and completing any reservation paperwork before your scheduled move-in.
Once your apartment is reserved, we remove it from the market and begin preparing it specifically for you. This may include completing maintenance, cleaning the apartment, scheduling final inspections, and coordinating your move-in.
Security Deposits & Reservation Fees
A security deposit is required before move-in and is held in accordance with your lease agreement and applicable Texas law. It helps cover unpaid balances or damage beyond normal wear and tear after you move out. Security deposits may not be applied toward your final month’s rent.
Because reserving an apartment means taking it off the market and turning away other prospective residents, Laredo Town Apartments may also require a non-refundable reservation (hold) fee. The terms of any reservation fee will be explained before you complete your lease paperwork.
If Your Plans Change
We understand that unexpected situations sometimes arise. If you need to cancel your reservation before moving in, please notify our leasing office as soon as possible.
Depending on the agreements you have signed, any applicable reservation fee may be non-refundable because the apartment was held exclusively for you and preparation work had already begun. Any refundable portion of your security deposit will be handled according to your lease agreement and applicable Texas law.
If you have any questions about deposits, reservation fees, or move-in costs, our leasing team is happy to explain the process before you sign.
