Move-In Process
Welcome Home!
Congratulations on your new home at Laredo Town Apartments!
Our goal is to make your move-in as simple and stress-free as possible. Here’s what to expect before, during, and after move-in.
Before Move-In
Before receiving your keys, please make sure you have:
- Signed your lease agreement
- Paid your required move-in costs
- Submitted any required pet documentation (if applicable)
- Obtained renter’s insurance (if required)
- Schedule your move-in with the leasing office
- Arrange for any utilities that are your responsibility, such as electricity, to be active by your move-in date. We recommend scheduling service to begin the day before move-in when possible.
Your leasing team will review any remaining questions before your move-in date.
Move-In Day Checklist
On or before move-in day, you’ll receive your apartment keys along with your Inventory & Condition Form.
Within 48 hours of moving in, inspect your apartment and note any existing damage, maintenance concerns, safety issues, or pest-related concerns on the form. Returning this form helps document your apartment’s condition at the beginning of your lease and protects both you and Laredo Town Apartments.
As you inspect your apartment, we recommend checking:
- Walls, flooring, windows, and doors
- Refrigerator and stove/range
- Plumbing fixtures
- Air conditioning and thermostat
- Smoke detectors
- Patio, balcony, or backyard (if applicable)
For your own records, we also recommend taking photos of any existing damage before moving in furniture.
Return your completed Inventory & Condition Form to the leasing office within 48 hours, and submit any needed repairs through your AppFolio Resident Portal.
After You Move In
Once you’re settled in:
- Activate your AppFolio Resident Portal to pay rent, submit maintenance requests, and access your lease documents.
- Contact the leasing office if you have questions or need assistance.
We’re excited to welcome you to the community and look forward to making your residency a great experience.
