Renting with a Housing Choice Voucher
Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Apartments
Laredo Town Apartments welcomes qualified applicants who participate in the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8).
Housing Choice Vouchers are accepted at select communities. Because participation and availability may vary, please contact our leasing team before applying to confirm current availability.
Applicants using Housing Choice Vouchers complete the same application and screening process as all prospective residents. Receiving a voucher does not guarantee approval or waive our standard rental qualifications.
How the Process Works
Once your application is approved, we’ll work directly with the Housing Authority to complete the required paperwork and schedule the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspection.
After the apartment passes inspection and the Housing Authority completes its approval process, you’ll sign your lease, pay any required move-in costs, and receive your move-in information.
Residents using Housing Choice Vouchers are generally responsible for the same security deposits and move-in costs as other residents unless otherwise provided by law or an approved assistance program.
