Protect Your Belongings
While Laredo Town Apartments maintains the apartment buildings and common areas, your personal belongings are your responsibility. Although renters insurance is not required, many residents choose to purchase a policy because it provides valuable financial protection and peace of mind for a relatively low monthly cost.
Most renters insurance policies help cover personal belongings damaged by covered events such as fire, theft, vandalism, certain types of water damage, and severe weather. Many policies also include personal liability protection and may help pay for temporary living expenses if your apartment becomes uninhabitable because of a covered loss.
Coverage varies by policy, so review your insurance carefully and speak with your insurance provider if you have questions.
Where Can I Purchase Renters Insurance?
Residents are welcome to purchase renters' insurance from any licensed insurance provider.
Many national insurance companies offer renters insurance, including State Farm, Allstate, GEICO, Progressive, Farmers, Liberty Mutual, USAA (for eligible military members and families), and Lemonade (where available). If you already have auto insurance, ask your provider about discounts for bundling your renters and auto policies.
For added convenience, residents may also have the option to purchase renters insurance directly through the AppFolio Resident Portal, if available for your apartment community.
If you have questions about renters insurance or available options through the resident portal, our leasing team is happy to help.
